Our Spicy Hunan Pink Power Ranger

We have a daughter.
Her name is You Meiqing (Yu May-ching)
She's in the You Xian SWI in Hunan Province
She was born on 5/24/05....a little bug!!

On September 1st she was just over 11 lbs. and 22.6 inches long. As a point of reference I think Ben was 22 inches long at birth and Grant weighed in at 9.5 (?) pounds. Based on US growth charts for girls she's 25th percentile on length and weight - not sure what that equates to in chinese growth charts - and who knows how big she is now.

All they kept saying on the phone is "she's so tiny". How ironic, huh?

She's been at the orphanage since 5/29/05. She hasn't had a foster family. And according to this other families blog, it sounds like the people that run the orphanage are really caring.

The only other information they gave us from the referral is that (as of September) she can roll over and she is very active and laughs alot and responds to her name. There will be three pictures arriving on Friday along with all the rest of the details in her referral. The pictures are also from September 1st (so she was barely over 3 months old then) and they say she has very little hair.

I can't even describe the feeling.
