Found at the Bubuwang!

Totally out of the blue, we received more information on Anna today. She was found at the Bubuwang Supermarket on Laoshizi Street in You County, (no doubt we will be getting all the boys Bubuwang t-shirts when in China!) by Xiaolan Yi (we my initial googling of her didn't yield any results - probably not a surprise). She (Anna, not Xiaolan) wore blue cotton clothing (clearly she was destined for a boy family) and a colorful hat (fashionable too). Her face is small and her hair is brown (like a Kellond) and thin. There is a nursing bottle, some milk powder and a birth note with her (her mother in china loved her...which makes her mother here very happy.)

It appears that May 24th is her real birthdate as they got this information from the birth note, not by guessing her age. Actual birthdates are not common. This is a gift.

Her chinese name Meiqing means "pure plum". (Somehow I doubt that she'll be so sweet after a few months with her new family.)

We now have enough information to order her "finding ad" which is a notice w/picture that will have been placed in the local newspaper - its a required step to place such an ad before a child is available for international adoption.

Even though we are not likely to ever get any more information on this - it gives us a starting point at what steps to retrace and what people to seek out if we get to visit Youxian while in China. Every bit of information we can piece together for her will be priceless.
